The Perfectionist Khan- Aamir Khan

Although in the controversies by the comment on Intolerance in India, Aamir Khan has still proved himself to be fit for being called as “Mr. Perfectionist”. Be it by playing the role of Ranchoddas Chanchad in the film, “The Three Idiots” and giving the world a new concept about education through his famous dialogue- “Success ke peeche mat bhago, excellence ke peeche bhago, success jhak maar ke tumhare peeche aayegi” or be it playing the role of an Alien in the movie PK and giving the world new eyes to worship humanity as a God. There are many examples of his movies which can be said to be a Masterpiece. The stories in his movies are the ones which people can relate with their lives and actually live that story. One of the best movies of Aamir Khan and especially my personal most favourite “Taare Zameen Par”. He educated people about a mental problem of Dyslexia, and cleared the myth that it is also curable, but the person would need a special care, love and attention. Not if you alienate him. He taught the world that “Every child is Special”. Everyone has a unique talent that needs to be recognised and the child needs to be supported to follow his dreams.

There are many examples that are enough to prove that he is not only a perfect actor, rather he is also an excellent human being. He has also raised several social issues from his TV show “Satyamev Jayate” and he had also been a part of the discussion held later on, on the news channels. He not only invited people from the professional world for the solutions of particular problems, rather he also showed the stories who had been the victims of many of the social curses but still were so strong that today they were the inspiration for others by fighting against them and living in their own terms. Satyamev Jayate has not only brought about issues and the present condition in front of everyone, but it has also given suggestions and solutions for the same and many of the Political Parties have also supported them and some have even implemented those suggestions, for example setting up of Mohalla Clinic in Delhi by Aam Admi Party. Talking about his life, Amir Khan who was born on 14th March, 1965 is remembered as a Child actor in the film “Yadon ki Baaraat” in 1973. Then after a period of almost 10 years, Amir did his first debut as a professional actor in the film Holi which released in 1984. His first successful film was released in 1988 named “Qayamat se Qayamat Tak” in which he acted as a main lead and also won his first national film award under Special Jury award. He was also a screenwriter for the film Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke. He got his first film fare award for the movie Raja Hindustani. And second award in the same category for film Lagaan. In 2008, his film Taare Zameen Par got the National Film Award for best film on Family Welfare which was also produced and directed by Aamir Khan himself. He has also been honoured as Padma shree in 2003 and Padma Bhushan in 2010 by Government of India. The list is very long if we think of talking about his awards and his achievements. Words will never be enough for that.

Overall, it can just be said that he has justified the title given to him of “Mr. Perfectionist”. To give a real look in the movie, he changed himself for every movie, be it changing his hairstyle for movie Gajni or going through a body wax for the movie PK or gaining weight for the movie Dangal for the role of a Wrestler. His acting skills show that he actually lives the Character given to him. One of his excellent acting skills was shown in the movie Dhoom 3. Almost every movie done by him gives a message in the end. Be it “The Three Idiots”, “Taare Zameen Par” or be it “PK” or the recent movie released “Dangal”. People are not only affected by his acting skills but also the choices of the movies which he chooses. Some of his past films have also proven the fact that he is not only “Mr. Perfectionist”, but he is also a very versatile actor. He is able to play both Comic roles and serious roles with same perfection. This does not seem to be the end up here; we hope Aamir Khan continues to give more Masterpieces to the bollywood industry in the coming year also.
