Stress is said to be a silent killer and this killer is now days with almost every one’s life. it is a fact of life but it doesn’t need to be. Stress can affect both your body and your mind. People under large amount of pressure can become tired, sick and unable to concentrate or think clearly .Sometimes they even suffer mental breakdowns also. Stress is a kind of pain in negative sense. Generally we use this word when we feel that everything seems to have become too much we are overloaded and wonder whether we really can cope with the pressure placed upon us . Anything that poses a challenge to the well being of an individual is in tension. However it is positive in sense also as without pressure all our lives would become boring and pointless. But when the pressure undermine both your physical and mental health this is bad. It can be defined as body’s way of responding to any kind of demand. This can be caused by good and bad experiences of life. When there is something good and positive we tend to take this to complete something with an expectation that if we complete the assigned task something good will happen. However when we are stressed that we will loose something then the same stress is negative for us and we tend to move to the dark situation of life. When people are stressed with something going on around them their bodies react by releasing blood chemicals into the blood and these chemicals give more energy and strength which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger. But this can also be a bad thing if their is in response to something emotional and there is no outlet for this extra energy and strength. There are no specifications through which there is stress but even sometimes you don’t know what has happened and you are into a mental stress totally tired and lost and you actually don’t know why. Many different things can cause stress from physical such as fear of something dangerous to emotional such as worry over family , job , your lovable ones and many things which actually come with every step of life as we move forward . There are almost four types of stress. One is the survival stress which we are able to digest when we are physically hurt but our body naturally responds to it with a burst of energy. Second one is Internal when you are caught with yourself worrying about things you can do nothing about or worrying without any reason or about the things we cannot control but ultimately we know or feel from inside that this will happen which is not good and in this situation this acts just a parasite damaging our mental bent and thinking ability with passage of time. Third one is Environmental stress which is a response to things around us that causes stress such as noise, crowd, pressure from work and family . Fourth one is Over work stress and fatigue and this kind of stress builds over along time and can take a hard toll on your body. This can be caused by working too much or too hard at your job, school or at home. Everyone is aware of the negative effects of stress as it decreases performance, potential, harms relationships and creates physical damage. In short it ruins life and curtails the enjoyment of life. God has given us this life to enjoy and do something good and we should not allow stress to damage our body and mind which the almighty has gifted us. But yes in this competitive and fast world one cannot totally escape this but yes we can manage this and this is known as Stress Management.
